Shaggy Parasol
Macrolepiota rhacodes – Edible

Coniferous forests, especially damp grassy spruce forests. Autumn, summer (rarely).
Very similar to the Parasol, differing in its smaller fruiting bodies, which usually grow only in damp spruce forests; moreover, the flesh of its cap and stem turns vividly red when cut or broken, which is not characteristic of the Parasol. Characteristic features: smaller than the Parasol, flesh reddening. Edible, but not as tasty as the Parasol; however, there is no need to be afraid of it, because it is easily recognised by its reddening and habitat, and in terms of taste it is not the worst of mushrooms. Not rare.
