Humaria hemisphaerica

Glazed Cup

Forests, parks, shrublands. Summer, autumn.

Fruiting bodies small, stalkless, 2-3 cm across, shaped like a round bowl, the margin straight or bent inwards, the upper (hymenial) side purplish-white, pearly white, later greyish-yellowish, the underside brown, with brown bristles, rough. Flesh firm, pale. Characteristic features: fruiting bodies shaped like a shallow bowl. Grows singly or in small groups, among grass, in damp places, on humus-rich soil and rotten organic debris. Not rare.
