Yellow Calocybe
Calocybe chrysentera

Deciduous, coniferous and mixed forests, damp grassy places. Summer, autumn.
Fruiting bodies small. Cap 2–4 (6) cm across, flattened, matt, fibrous, smooth-surfaced when old, golden-yellow, brownish-yellow. Gills narrow, crowded, yellow, adnate. Stem 3-7x0.3-0.8 cm, fibrous, yellow, whitish at the base. Flesh thin, soft, yellow, smelling of flour, not bitter. Characteristic features: small, yellow fungi smelling of flour, spores tiny, non-amyloid. Grows singly or a few fruiting bodies together, in forests and parks among grass, on the ground. Rare, inedible. Deceptive – it sometimes makes you bend down as if it were a chanterelle.
