White Domecap
Lyophyllum connatum – Poisonous

Forests, parks, rarely gardens, roadsides, forest edges, ditch sides. Autumn.
Fruiting bodies medium-sized, rarely large, white. Cap grows up to 9 cm across, thin-fleshed, matt, not depressed. Gills white, cream, adnate. Stem up to 12 cm long and 2 cm thick, firm, the base tapering. Flesh thin, with a rather sharp, unpleasant smell and taste. Characteristic features: grows in groups among grass, especially on roadsides and ditch sides; spores smooth-walled, non-amyloid, as in all Lyophyllum species. Sometimes grows in several dozen fruiting bodies. Earlier literature stated that it is edible, but recently harmful substances have been found in it and it is not recommended as food. Fairly common
